One room

There is one room that is organised and one that I'm prepared to share for now.

Our family room.
I was standing at the kitchen bench when I took this photo.

More photos soon.

We're in!

Yep, we're in our new house.
Only taken what feels like an eternity.

Happy kids.

Still unpacking some things and waiting on
shelving for my craft room.

It looked like this the day we moved in.

And then last weekend it looked like this.

It's still not much better, but at least I can find
some fabrics...
Anyone want to come for a visit and help?
You could leave with a bundle of fabric - I'd never know!

Christmas in July

This is a swap I did last year and enjoyed it so much
that I came back again this year.

I was given Peg to make for.

First up is a wall hanging of the Nativity.
It's a Jan Patek pattern called
Christmas 101.

A little wall hanging with holly.

An apron for when Peg does her kitchen thing...
me personally I don't do much in the kitchen - just ask my kids!

A Santa wall hanging.

A Rudolph for the tree.

Another decoration for the tree,
this time a wreath.

Sideways chocolates, just because.

All carefully wrapped by my daughter and then shoved in
an express post bag by the lady at the post office because
I wasn't sure if it would fit - so she kindly made it fit.

Peg if things were a little scrunched - I apologise.

Ah...now when is the real Christmas?

Swaps

A friend of mine asked me to join a swap she was organising and I did.
We are to swap 4 different items over the year.
We've just completed our second swap, which was
"Tilda".

I was lucky to receive gifts from Christine and they were perfect!

Thank you Christine.
(sorry should have rotated the picture first)

I was to send to Cheryl.  I have never met Cheryl so this made the task a little tricky.
Plus we were in the process of moving house, so most of my sewing supplies were in boxes.

I made a pouch with a Tilda illustration that I stitched on the front.

I used Tilda fabric for the back.

A scissors keeper/pin cushion combo and stork scissors.
Again using Tilda fabric.

A hoop holder and small needle case,
again using Tilda fabric.

A flour sack tea towel that I embellished with a strip of Tilda.
These are great for drying dishes.

It all fits inside the pouch.

All wrapped up and ready to go.
There was also a box of chocolates that almost didn't make the trip.

A fun swap enjoyed by all, I think.
